continued.

The saddest day of the trip – getting off the ship.

We got up a little later than usual, because we had the late breakfast seating. That’s one of the perks of the late dinner seating. I know that the restaurant doesn’t serve what I want for breakfast. Their menu is limited, but it is extensive. I’m just not a big breakfast person, so that’s why I don’t like their menu. However, we did want to see those we shared dinner with one last time.

We took our luggage with us (except for what we had left out for them to take). We left it outside the restaurant. So after breakfast, we grabbed it and then headed off the ship. It was easy to find our luggage based on the tags we put on the bags. A porter took them for us and got us in line to get out.

After customs, we headed outside and the porter put our luggage on the shuttle for us to take us to the parking lot to get our car.

Once back in the car, we headed to a mall in the area. We went there before, and wanted to take a look at a few shops. Also, we were staying in the area one more night before heading home. Since it was still early, we decided to shop before going to the hotel.

After shopping, we stopped for lunch, then headed to the hotel. It didn’t take much to convince me to take a little nap. For some reason, the air felt very heavy, and we were both very tired. We slept less than an hour, but it was enough. We took a little walk around the property, then headed out for dinner. After dinner, we went back to the room to relax before bed, and then turned in early. We wanted to get an early start to avoid traffic.

The next morning we got up and had breakfast at the hotel and headed home. Even though it was Saturday, and early, there was still traffic. Houston area has terrible traffic issues. At least it wasn’t as bad as if we had left right after the cruise.

When we got home, the children were very happy to see us. Well, three of them were. One of our daughters was in Lebanon at the time (she was there for six months).

It was a very relaxing trip and we really enjoyed our time away.

The Disney Magic

We were so excited to get back on a cruise ship again, which we did the end of January 2023, and we were especially excited since it was our first time on the Disney Magic! We headed to the Port of Galveston to hop aboard this four night cruise to Progresso, Mexico....

The Best Cruise Line

We are often asked which is the best cruise line. Well, it all depends on you. Ok, so you think that's a non-answer. But think about it, not everyone enjoys the same things you do. Some people like tons of active activities like swimming, water slides, basketball,...

COVID-19 “Vaccines” and Travel

To Cruise or Not to Cruise, That Is the Question

It seems that just when you think you know the rules, everything changes again. If you are like me, you want to get on a cruise ship. I prefer to not cruise in the summer, so I'm not planning to cruise anytime real soon. However, I sometimes wonder when I should...
