COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement

Well, I knew it was only a matter of time when a US cruise company has decided to require the COVID-19 Vaccine to board any of their ships. As of July 1, 2021, all ships belonging to American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Lines (sister companies) will require all crew and passengers to have one of the approved COVID-19 vaccines. These two cruise lines are best known for their river cruises.

From what I understand, there will be NO exceptions. If you can’t receive the vaccine (for any reason) or choose not to, you will be denied boarding.

I don’t know if this will affect their bookings or not with the slow roll out of the vaccine.

In some ways, this doesn’t surprise me. After all, we have been led to believe that this vaccine kills almost everyone who gets it (which is NOT true). However, in other ways it does surprise me. The United States, with its freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution, typically allows for the freedom of choice, even when it comes to health.

So, whether you agree or not, this is how it is. Be prepared for more of the same.
