Lots of people like to swim and play in the water while on a cruise ship. Some even get on the ship wearing their swim suit under their clothes so they can get in the pool right away.
The pool deck on the Allure of the Seas has a number of pools, whirlpools, and a splash area (kids love this place).
The pool deck also has the Sanctuary, which has a pool and whirlpools, in the front of the ship. The Sanctuary is only for adults (well, really those who are 16 and older). It is a quieter area, but it is also one of the hottest (I’m talking temperature, not who’s there) places on the ship due to the placement of the “roof.” The roof is clear which allows the sun in, and only partially open air. This tends to hold a lot of heat in.
What’s missing on the pool deck are slides. That’s right, no water slides. However, The Allure of the Seas will be going in for refurbishment very soon. At that time, water slides and their long dry slide (no swim suit necessary) called The Abyss will be added. That will make for some added fun!
