It is unfortunate, but Ocean Cruises have been suspended again, no through at least September 15. This applies to cruises leaving from the United States.
Until the CDC permits sailing, and until the CDC sets up any new guidelines, the cruise industry has to be at a standstill.
While this suspension is voluntary, a big part of this is: “…it has become clear that barriers to the resumption of U.S. cruise operations will not be resolved by 24 July, the expiration date of the current CDC No Sail Order,” says Kelly Craighead, CEO of CLIA, in her June 19, 2020, email sent out to CLIA members.
While it does not make me happy, at least knowing ahead of time helps with everyone who was making plans to go on a cruise.
