Princess Cruises is a great choice for families. Just like most other cruise lines, Princess have children’s programs, however, Princess has their Discovery at SEA program.
Discovery at SEA is a partnership with Discovery™ & Animal Planet™. Not only are these great fun (and educational – don’t tell anyone they are educational) experiences in the children’s programs, but there are a number of great excursions and on board activities to enhance the overall experiences for explorers of all ages.
For example, Stargazing at Sea takes place on the top deck of the ship. Science Channel™ and Princess Cruises will take you on a cosmic voyage as you look to the skies. This interactive guided tour has a Princess Stargazing Specialist who teaches how to find your bearings and identify the major constellations, hear the secrets of the stars and the folklore around them.
Naturally, not everything is available on every voyage (can you imagine trying to stargaze on an Alaskan Cruise in June? – won’t work very well with that midnight sun), but you can be sure there will be something exciting to do.
