This is a continuation of a cruise in the eyes of a 17-year-old.
We stopped at three ports, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. The first top was Cozumel, Mexico. We were at one of two piers there. The piers visible from each other, but going to the other would be a rather long walk, or a short taxi ride over to explore.
My mother and I chose to explore near the pier we were at. Close to the pier is a very touristy area, so it isn’t a true Mexican culture experience, but don’t let that bum you out. Everyone at the shops spoke English. Most of the shops were jewelry or “tourist” shops that catch the eye, but my favorite shop is Del-Sol, which sells objects that change color in the sun. It has some of the friendliest employees.
While we didn’t do any excursions, we still had fun walking and shopping.
