Shampoo and Soap

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, along with other cruise lines and hotels, is moving to the large shampoo and shower soap containers rather than the small toiletry items.

In December 2018 I went on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas and then in September 2019 I went on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas. On the Liberty of the Seas, out of Galveston, I took my own toiletries, because it was easy enough since I was driving. So, while I noticed there were dispensers in the shower, I didn’t notice what was in there.

However, on the Allure of the Seas, I noticed that there was only one bottle in there. It was shampoo and body wash in one.

While it cleaned well, both my body and hair, there was no conditioner. While for some people, that wouldn’t be a problem, I have long and wavy hair, and it was a problem. By the end of the week, I could barely get my hair combed.

Lesson learned, whenever I travel for more than a few days, I’ll be sure to bring conditioner for my hair.

To Cruise or Not to Cruise, That Is the Question

It seems that just when you think you know the rules, everything changes again. If you are like me, you want to get on a cruise ship. I prefer to not cruise in the summer, so I'm not planning to cruise anytime real soon. However, I sometimes wonder when I should...
