Those who enjoy cruising and live in the US have been wanting to get on an ocean going ship for quite some time. Well, there will be cruises starting soon, but not from the US (or at least not that has been officially approved by the CDC).
Crystal Cruises, a luxury cruise line, announced some time back that they would be offering 7 night cruises from Nassau starting July 3 and Bimimi on July 4 to the Bahamas.
Royal Caribbean has announced that starting June 12 they will have 7 night sailings leaving Nassau which will include two days at Perfect Day at CocoCay and a stop on Cozumel, Mexico.
Celebrity Cruises will start sailing out of St. Maarten on June 5 with 7 night itineraries.
Just know that these cruises will require you to be fully vaccinated (at least 14 days earlier). Royal Caribbean and Crystal have an exception for those under 18, as long as they have a negative COVID within 72 hours of boarding the ship.
Other protocols, including the wearing of masks, temperature checks, etc. will also be followed.
Should you book a cruise? ONLY if you have or will have received the vaccination for COVID-19 (both doses, unless you have a single dose vaccine) at least 14 days prior to your departure and you won’t have a problem following any protocols, including any that may be changed before your cruise.
Royal Caribbean has stated that they will notify all those who will be sailing on a cruise of any protocols that must be followed 30 days before sailing.
